20,865 property sales to foreign buyers in the province of Alicante during 2022 is the highest in Spain and 68% higher than in 2021, according to the market report.
Foreign demand in the province of Alicante was 50% higher than in the province of Málaga (13,908), the second most popular province among foreign investors.
The province of Alicante attracted 23.5% of all foreign buyers in Spain last year, and the provinces of Alicante and Málaga together accounted for just under 40% of foreign demand.
As for growth, sales almost doubled in the province of Valencia (+97%), followed by the province of Alicante (+68%). Foreign demand rose least in the Balearics (+22%) and Madrid (+15%).
